Rob is a Managing Director and Lead of the Global Financial Services Innovation Center (GFSIC) at PwC. The Innovation Center drives growth through incubation and commercialization of technologies and business models innovations for new financial services and products. The center resources are leveraged via an ecosystem of external and internal partners with hubs in Silicon Valley, Boston, Singapore, and Luxembourg and a collaborative network of innovation centers stretching across Europe, US, and Asia.
Prior to Leading GFSIC, Rob was Global Lead of the Innovation Strategy Practice at PwC and Global Lead of the Growth & Innovation Practice at PRTM (acquired by PwC acquired in 2011). With over thirty years of hands on experience in strategy and operations, Rob has served as a trusted partner and advisor to senior executives at leading companies around the world in high tech, financial services, health care, telecommunications, consumer goods and services, cleantech, education, consulting, and industrial sectors. Rob co-authored Making Innovation Work (2013) , one of the top selling innovation books with over 13 printings and translation into 10 languages. He also co-authored The Creative Enterprise (2008).
Rob is co-founder and board member of a leading incubator in Silicon Valley recognized for its unique contributions by the White House, the California Governor’s Office, and selected as Best US Business Incubator and one of the Ten Top Incubators Changing the World (Forbes).
Rob has received numerous awards and recognition for his thought leadership. In 2013, he led the Global Innovation Survey, the most extensive review of growth via innovation that provides unequaled data and insights into the innovation practices of growth leaders. He has been a keynote speaker and requested facilitator on innovation and business strategy to senior executives at top tier companies in the US, China, Japan, India, Korea, UAE, and across the European Union. He was designated an Innovation Champion by the World Economic Forum and an invited speaker at WEF’s 2013 Summer Davos, the House of Commons, Stanford University, University of California, USC, MIT Media Labs, and Carnegie Mellon University.
